Subsea compensators are used in subsea equipment or primarily on ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) to save other components from structurally collapsing due to the high hydrostatic pressure at the bottom of the ocean. The compensator provides a slightly higher hydraulic pressure than the ambient, to the other component. Any leakage from the component is also compensated by hydraulic supply from the compensator.

Technicas has more than 18 years of experience with hydraulic compensators which can be integrated to various work class ROV systems available in the market today, or to other equipment and wide range of applications as required.

Rated to full ocean depth and compatible with standard hydraulic oils, Technicas’ compensators are made of stainless steel, polycarbonate and aluminium and come with BSPP fittings.

The standard series of Technicas compensators come in a wide range of 0.5 litre to 10 litre, with 0.41 bar to 1.03 bar (6 to 15 psi). Custom volume capacities greater than the standard series can be delivered based on customer requirements. Optional features such as level indicator sensors, relief valves, or transducers with standard industry connectors can be provided on customer request.
