Docking Probe

Docking probes are used in the subsea industry for subsea intervention tasks. These components are assembled onto any ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) or subsea equipment in order to dock and latch onto existing subsea structures for stability and zero movement and hence perform tasks and operations with ease.

Technicas has years of experience with docking probes and can help clients with different requirements.

Docking Probe

Technicas’ docking probes are hydraulically actuated with an in-built fail safe design. In an event of hydraulic failure, the latches are released, hence enabling the ROV or equipment to un-dock from the subsea structure.

Built to API 17H or ISO 13628-8 standards, the docking probes are made from stainless steel and are corrosion resistant. Various designs can also be incorporated such as stab plates consisting of few docking probes for ease of installation. The probes function on a working pressure of 207 bar, and come with 1/4″ BSPP fittings.
